Claire Tabouret by Jean-Max Colard
There is something "moving" about the paintings of Claire Tabouret. We shall immediately add that the "moving" is not the "living". It has more to do with the "spectral"; it is a manner of floating between fixed immobility and movement. Yet, it is precisely in this in-between, this continuing tension between the rigid and shifting, between suspended time and time unfolding, that the pictorial poetics of Claire Tabouret can be situated.
